Largest Istrian city and port located in the southernmost part of the
Istrian peninsula, in a well protected bay. It counts about 65,000
inhabitants and is a cultural, tourist, commercial and administrative
center of the region. The city is famous for its well-preserved ancient
Roman monuments, of which the most important and most famous is
amphitheater in Pula and Pula Arena (popularly known as Divia-city).
This is the best preserved monument of ancient architecture in Croatia.
It was built in the 1st century as a venue for gladiatorial combat -
today it is open-air stage which hosts numerous concerts, film festivals
and various performances.

definitely worth visiting we suggest: Golden Gate (Slavoluk Sergijevaca -
Arch of the Sergi), Temple of Augustus, Twin Gates and City Walls, Gate
of Hercules, and many churches, monasteries and cathedrals.
